David's Journal Entry

We made it. 

It is time to celebrate, to enjoy being with friends, to consider our achievements, wonder what else we might do in the future, recuperate and most importantly appreciate all that we have in our lives. 

I feel so fortunate to have such an enduring and well-developed friendship with Mike. We do not always agree, and that's okay, after all, aren't friends the people you like in spite of (or maybe because of) their flaws? He is truly a wonderful numpty.

Most importantly, from the first seed of an idea to undertake a challenge in my 40th year to the moment I finally pulled up to the steps at Flinder's Street Station I have had unwavering support from my most extraordinary family. I am so very grateful to Eileen and the boys. I am a very lucky numpty.
